A tuber is the energy source to get your beautiful garden moving! All tubers must have a body, a neck, and an eye.  If an eye doesn't exist, a sprout has no mechanism of pushing out of the tuber and up through the dirt.   All tubers are inspected for quality and a visible sprout or emerging eye showing before being wrapped up for shipping.   Please unpack your tubers and inspect them upon arrival. They will soon need to be planned or stored in a coolish/dark place, or further growth will happen.

Tubers cannot remain viable if caught in a cold snap during our winter months.  Unfortunately, spring can surprise us and send a frost filled night our way.  Shipping warehouses and front porches are usually the culprit for these frosty beginnings.  For this reason, regardless of the order date, our tubers are shipped between the 3rd week in April through the 2nd weekend in May, depending on the region.  

We are very confident in the quality of our tubers and will not ship ones that don't have a visible eye, ones that are damaged, or shriveled up.     If you are unhappy with your tubers or quality of your experience in any way, please communicate with us and we will quickly remedy the situation.   Once planting/growing season has begun, however, a refund may not be automatic as the new owner has responsibility for proper care of the tubers.
